AIB League: Results Round-Up

It was semi-finals day in the AIB League, with Clontarf pulling off a superb win at Temple Hill and Shannon edging out their fierce rivals Garryowen to set up a repeat of the 2006 final in Division One. The decider will take place at Thomond Park on Saturday, May 9, while UCC have won through to the Division Two final and Corinthians and Old Wesley will battle it out for the Division Three title.

* UCC are through to the Division Two final at Dooradoyle on Saturday, May 9, with Ballynahinch or Lansdowne their opponents

DIVISION TWO:

Ballynahinch 56 Highfield 3, Ballymacarn Park
* Ballynahinch’s bonus point win means they move ahead of Lansdowne in the final table and gain promotion to next season’s Division One Section B
* Ballynahinch will also have home advantage in their play-off semi-final against Lansdowne on Monday, May 4

DIVISION THREE SEMI-FINALS:

Corinthians 29 Midleton 14, Corinthian Park
Old Wesley 38 Queen’s University 25, Donnybrook
* Corinthians and Old Wesley will contest the Division Three final at Dooradoyle on Saturday, May 9
