Canterbury Kit Competition – April

Canterbury Kit Competition – April

The Canterbury Kit Competition is back and this time we have a special question to mark the unveiling of the new Aviva Stadium Walk.

First up we have the winners of last month’s competition.

We asked you to dig through the archives and tell us who was the first Ireland player to land two drop goals in an international.

The choices were CMH (Mike) Gibson, Eric Elwood, Ollie Campbell and Ronan O’Gara. There were a lot of entries but only a fwe of you guessed right that it was the great Mike Gibson. He landed two against Australia in 1967.

The winners are:

First Prize of an Ireland Home Jersey goes to Padraig McKeown from Dundalk.

Second prize of an Ireland Elite Fleece Jog pants goes to Mark Norris from Dromore in Co. Down.

Third prize, an Ireland beanie, goes to Trevor Finneran from Roscommon.

The competition for April marks the unveiling of the AVIVA Stadium Walk – your chance to be part of the future and the history of Irish rugby.

To mark this opportunity we are asking you an easy question about the history of the ground.
