Mick O’Driscoll, Denis Leamy and Peter Stringer, who were on bench duty for Ireland’s RBS 6 Nations win over England last weekend, have all been included in the Munster squad for Saturday’s Magners League clash with the Newport Gwent Dragons.
The province’s bench replacements from Ireland’s win over England have been listed in the Munster squad for the Magners League game against the Dragons at Rodney Parade on Saturday.
Mick O’Driscoll, Munster’s stand-in captain, did not get a run-out at Croke Park, but both Denis Leamy and Peter Stringer featured during the second half.
AIB League regulars, Ciaran O’Boyle, Billy Holland and Tommy O’Donnell, will be hoping to make the cut for the Dragons game.
Garryowen winger O’Boyle scored a try on his Magners League debut last time out, when Munster beat Edinburgh 28-14 in Cork.
James Coughlan and Brian Carney are unavailable for Munster this week due to their involvement with the Ireland Sevens squad at the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Dubai.
Rua Tipoki (knee) and Barry Murphy (shoulder) are close to returning after their respective injury lay-offs but Munster coach Tony McGahan had decided to keep the pair on the sidelines, with the Glasgow game at the end of the month now their target.
