The Clubhouse Launched On IrishRugby.ie

The Irish Rugby Football Union this week launched a new portal on our website to assist clubs in the administration and running of their facilities and players. ‘The Clubhouse’ encompasses a host of information and downloads as well as the player registration system.

This week saw an exciting new development on IrishRugby.ie aimed at the domestic game. The launch of The Clubhouse – a new infomation resource portal for club officials.

The Clubhouse encompasses access to the Player Registration system and useful information and advice for club members to assist them in the running of their club.

Included within The Clubhouse is the new Facilities and Event Planning guide which was distributed to clubs recently. Containining advice on sustainable clubs, maintenance of clubhouse and pitches this document provides a blueprint for a quality environment for rugby.

The Clubhouse also contains information on various forms of funding available to clubs as well as pulling together information that was readily available on the site into a one-stop shop for volunteers.

There is a resource library, information on Player Insurance, IRB Rugby Ready programme, information on coaching, refereeing.

The Clubhouse will also act as an important communications link between the Union, the branches and the Honorary Secretaries of clubs all around Ireland.

Speaking about the launch, IRFU Domestic Game Manager Scott Walker said: “This new portal will allow the IRFU to communicate more effectively and efficiently with our stake holders about new policies or initiatives at branch and union level.

“Over time, our aim is to make The Clubhouse a one-stop shop for all club and school rugby administration needs.”

The Clubhouse is accessed via the Club & Community section of IrishRugby.ie and is password protected.

Each club and school has already received a login to the portal. For more information clubs should contact the club development team within their branch.
