True to form Foley refused to indulge too much in nostalgia following his last home game for Munster at the weekend.

“It was a nostalgic night and a tough couple of days for me. But you manage to get your head around it,” Foley said afterwards.

“You move on and we have a Heineken Cup final to prepare for and our focus will be on that and nothing else matters aside from that 80 minutes.”

To celebrate his career and ahead of the Heineken Cup final, we have delved into the pictorial archives and selected some images of Foley from his rugby career. We hope to add one more very special one in the coming weeks!

Tomorrow: In Pictures: David Humphreys.
