Eddie D, Dublin.

POC: I’m certainly going to try and get to Croke Park for the first home match. In some respects I don’t want to be in a position to cheer from the stands for any other one. I was a guest of O2 at last year’s All-Ireland Hurling final, cheering on Limerick, and it was a brilliant experience but I am looking forward to being there for a rugby match, which is a different entity. The build-up is completely different and I’ll probably find myself studying Italy’s line-out variations from my seat. Old habits die hard but I’ll look forward to the occasion and the atmosphere.

If you had to choose which team do you prefer to play for, a) Ireland or b) representing your county, i.e. Munster?

Sarah-Jane, Meath.

POC: This is a familiar question for most players and I honestly can say that there are massive attractions in playing for both teams. Growing up you dream of representing your country and it’s the ultimate honour. You’re performing in front of 80,000 people and know you have the support of a nation. Playing in front of 12,000 people at Thomond Park is equally fabulous as you’re part of a community, representing friends and neighbours – a parish mentality. It would be the same as asking an inter-county GAA player whether he prefers pulling on his club or country jersey. Both are great honours and carry a special responsibility.
