Good Luck Lads – Send Your Message To The Team

In the build-up to Friday’s key Pool D game against France, messages of support are being relayed directly to the Ireland squad’s team room in France.

Thanks to O2 Ireland, proud sponsors of the Irish team, messages of support for the team are mounting up and being relayed direct to the players and management.

The project is a key element of O2 Ireland’s activity as exclusive provider of ‘Official Rugby World Cup 2007 mobile content’ which includes highlight video clips from all 48 matches in the tournament.

Ireland centre Gordon D’Arcy said: “It is a real boost for us to be receiving these good luck messages. This team is built on the great support we get from the fans and this weekend’s game is going to be massive for us. We are all thinking positively going into the game against France and it is great for this to be backed up by the well wishes of the supporters. So please keep the messages coming in.”

Winger Andrew Trimble added: “The French game is a pivotal one for us and we all want to put in a big performance not only for ourselves, but also for the Irish supporters.  It means a huge amount to all the squad to have their backing and we have always fed off their energy. So,  to all the fans at home, keep sending the messages.”
