Saturday’s clash, which produced a timely win for the students – their first in four league games, was played at the Wanderers club’s Merrion Road ground, due to the College Park pitch being unplayable.
Number 8 Martin Garvey, flanker Philip Rowe and prop Paul Doran-Jones shared the students’ other tries. Former Ireland Under-21 fly half and captain Gareth Steenson kicked four penalties for ‘Gannon.
