Eddie O’Sullivan’s Ireland have moved above Wales in the latest IRB World Rankings thanks to Sunday’s 31-5 victory over the Dragons.

The Rankings, released today, show that Ireland have moved up to sixth, leapfrogging the Welsh. The three-try win has boosted Ireland points tally from last week’s 79.74 to 81.08. Wales have slipped from 81.69 down to 80.35.

The other rankings winners after the 6 Nations’ third round of matches are Scotland, who beat England by 18-12 on Saturday. The Scots remain in eighth place, but they have climbed up to 77.04 Rating points – their highest mark since the IRB Rankings were launched in October 2003.

In the only other change in the top ten, England have shifted down to fifth with Australia moving above Andy Robinson’s side.
