Reggie Corrigan (Leinster), Mick O’Driscoll (Munster), Anthony Foley (Munster) and Neil Best (Ulster) return to the forwards, while Leinster’s Denis Hickie and Girvan Dempsey, and Munster duo John Kelly and Barry Murphy come into contention in the backs.

All eight players were initially named in Ireland’s 35-man 6 Nations training squad last month. Leinster winger Robert Kearney misses out as he continues his recovery from a back strain.

Ireland have no major injury concerns following last Saturday’s 26-16 defeat of Italy at Lansdowne Road.

Lock Paul O’Connell (bruised hip) and number 8 Denis Leamy (dead leg) have minor knocks, but were fit for training.

Looking ahead to the Paris trip, O’Sullivan said: “I don’t think we’re going to make sweeping changes. It was a bad team performance in terms of what we’re trying to do. Our defensive work was fine, our set piece was fine, in attack they put a lot of pressure on us. We forced the game and we have to be more accurate with the ball (for next Saturday).”
