Ronan O’Gara becomes the ninth player in Ireland’s current squad to chalk up 50 caps today, against England. We take a look at the 27-year-old’s Test career to date.

Not only is the Munster fly-half set to lead out Grand Slam hopefuls Ireland at Lansdowne Road for their third RBS Six Nations tie of 2005, but O’Gara -standing at 491 points – is also in line to break through the 500-point international barrier – becoming the second Irishman to do so, behind number ten rival David Humphreys (513).

It could prove to be quite a monumental afternoon for the Corkman.
