Celtic League – Go Nap On Connacht.

Three of the Irish sides are in action this evening, with the perhaps the plum tie taking place in Musgrave Park where 7th placed Munster entertain Ulster, currently in 4th spot in the table.
Leinster Lions take themselves to Wales for a joust with Cardiff Blues while Connacht have home advantage tomorrow when they take on The Borders at the Sportsground (2.30pm).

Leinster are propping up the table having failed to register a win after three games but like Munster they just probably need just a little bit of ‘a rub of the green.’ The Arms Park is not a great place to go looking for favours but Gary Ella’s side might just see their fortunes start to turn around at this famous stadium despite the absence of Gordon D’Arcy who misses out through injury.

Even though Munster have home advantage, they face a formidable task in avoiding a straight fourth defeat with the visit of an Ulster side probably perhaps still smarting from that defeat in the Celtic League quarter final last season.

So that leaves Connacht in the somewhat unusual position of being the best bet of the weekend from an Irish point of view. They’ve already put one over the Scottish side, winning 26-21 in Netherdale and followed that up with victory in Stradey Park last week to earn themselves a place in the Celtic Cup semi-final.
