Focus Switches To Heineken Cup.

After the excitement of the RBS Six Nations championship, the focus now switches to the quarter final of the Heineken Cup and Leinster and Munster’s tilt at the title.

Those players involved in last Sunday’s epic encounter at Lansdowne Road had a very well deserved day off yesterday but today will report to their various fitness centres and the Leinster and Munster players will have full squad sessions tomorrow in Dublin and Limerick respectively tomorrow.

Leinster will get together on Friday with Ulster in a low-key practice match at Lansdowne Road will Munster will conduct a similar exercise with Connacht at Thomond Park. The day for that game is still uncertain, it had been scdehuled for Friday but Munster are looking to play it on Saturday evening.

On the injury front, Leinster have the greater worry. They are reconciled to being without Reggie Corrigan and there is also some doubt about but to add to their woes, Des Dilon was forced out of last Friday’s A international with medial ligament (knee) damage and he will definitely miss the quarter final at the very least.

If Leinster are losing players, Munster are getting their walking wounded back and the only regulars who cannot be considered for the quarter final are David Wallace and John O’Neill.
