Anthony Horgan and Jeremy Staunton return to the Munster team for the Heineken Cup clash with Viadana in Musgrave Park on Friday evening (7.30).

Anthony Horgan and Jeremy Staunton return to the Munster team for the Heineken Cup clash with Viadana on Friday evening (7.30). Horgan has been out of the side since breaking two bones in his hand on the Thursday prior to the Heineken Cup final last May while Staunton aggravated a stomach muscle in the game against Gloucester in October.

The other talking point is the omission of Mick Galwey entirely from the Munster squad for the first time since Munster played their first game in the competition in 1995.
Father time – and the emergence of young guns Paul O’Connell, Donncha O’Callaghan and Mick O’Driscoll – has caught up with a man who has been an inspiration to the side but Galwey intends keeping those ahead of him ‘honest’.
“I knew this day would come and was lucky really to get those two early games in because Paul was injured. Not wishing the boys any bad luck or anything but if the need comes, I’ll be ready to step back in.”
