Ulster, Connacht and Munster all face Welsh opposition today in the second last round of Pool games in the Celtic League just one week ahead of the opening round of the European Cup.

Ulster have perhaps the easiest task away to Caerphilly with Munster and Connacht facing two of the better Welsh clubs.
Munster are away to a Neath side who, with a final game away to leaders Edinburgh, will have to win to ensure themselves a home quarter-final. A win for Ulster will leave them playing Llanelli in Ravenhill for the final spot in Pool B.

Neath coach Lyn Jones sees this game as the ideal lead-in to the European Cup opener next Friday against Leicester. It’s great having the top three teams in The Gnoll in the space of a few weeks. We’ve already beaten Llanelli and we want to come out on top against Munster and Leicester. Munster will be a big test of our forward platform. They have a great knack of winning games, they know how to do it.

Last time Munster visited The Gnoll, Lee Jarvis kicked all his side’s points in their 30-22 victory and they will be favourites to repeat the dose again.

Caerphilly coach Mark Ring will send out an experimental side to bat against Ulster at Virginia Park in an effort to get his squad ready for upcoming Parker Pen Shield and Welsh Premier League games. Ulster have David Humphreys and Gary Longwell back but Jeremy Davidson retains the captaincy.

Unbeaten Connacht face a Pontypridd side who have a decidedly difficult run-in and the Welsh need two points from their remaining two game to make the quarter finals.
