No David Wallace in Munster Heineken Cup Squad

There was no sign of David Wallace’s name in the Munster Heineken Cup squad when it was announced yesterday. The international flanker is not expected back training until the New Year.

David Wallace underwent corrective surgery last month for a troublesome shoulder and although the operation was a success he will not be able to do serious training until the New Year.
Good news for Munster though, is the inclusion of Paul O’Connell and Anthony Horganwho also had corrective surgery but in both cases it is expected that they will be available for rounds three and four of the competition.

Newcomers to the Munster squad, include former Northampton scrum-half Dominic Malone, former Australian Red, Simon Kerr, Eddie Halvey, recently returned from London Irish, plus home grown talent, Denis Leamy, Mossie Lawlor, Rob Laffan, Warren O’Kelly, and Padraig Brennan.
