Ireland Team Masseur – Shaun Gilmore

Shaun is a 37 year old Australian who comes from Perth but has been living in Ireland since 1992. He came here, as a professional croupier, on holiday and just liked it so much he stayed. He worked as Manager of a Dublin Gambling Club and two nights a week studied his present craft at Crumlin Business and Technical College, until he qualified as a Massage Therapist.

He lives in Blanchardstown and commutes to his office in Exchequer St where he lists members of UCD soccer among his clients. He also involves himself in stress management/lifestyle assessment, using head, shoulder and neck massage and reflexology as therapy.

Prior to getting involved with the Irish side he worked with Longford Town FC and last season teamed up with the Leinster senior rugby side.

He’s on his first trip to New Zealand and has no plans to return to Australia for the foreseeable future.

A second degree Tae Kwando black belt he just lists jazz music as an interest but he was also one of the fastest and fearless on the go-karting circuit in Dunedin.
