The winners were:

Ulster Player of the Year Award sponsored by the Bank of Ireland. – David Wallace
The ding dong battle for the Irish Number 10 jersey
continued with Humph winning the vote over Ronan O’Gara. David is a great role model, on and off the field. Schools Player of the Year Award sponsored by Renault – Lewis Stevenson. Lewis has represented Ulster Schools for the last two seasons in the 2nd row. His consistent and powerful displays ensured elevation to Irish Schools this season – becoming an integral and influential member of the team. His ability and potential have resulted in acceptance into the National Academy.

Club of the Year sponsored by the First Trust Bank – Ballynahinch. Fielding eleven adult and youth teams each week, Ballynahinch have won five league titles and have had five cup successes out of seven cup final appearances this season. In addition the 2nd XV, U16 and U18 teams
represented Ulster in the All-Ireland playoffs.

Youth Player of the Year Award sponsored by Calor Gas –
Oisin Hennessey.
Having completed two seasons of full appreances for both Ulster and Ireland at Youth Level the tearaway flanker continues to impress. Fully focused on developing his obvious talents he recently made to move to
Dungannon from his home club Monaghan.

Club Ulster Player of the Year Award – David Humphreys. Few will forget the night against Wasps at Ravenhill when Humph’s drop goals killed off the Wasps and the huge crowd really
came alive.

Dorrington B Faulkner Memorial Award sponsored by Perennials Rugby Football Club – Dick Hinds. Dick has been the driving force behind rugby in Omagh both in the Academy where he taught for over 40 years and at the club where he originally played and was then Chairman for 28 years. Dick learnt his rugby
at Methody and Trinity College, Dublin before becoming involved with the Omagh Accies in 1954. Still very interested in the game he is touring South Africa with Omagh Academy this summer.

Coach of the Year sponsored by the Northern Bank – Andre Bester. The exciting and effective style of play produced by Belfast Harlequins this season best reflects Andre’s coaching style and ability. He continues to develop young talent and to introduce it successfully to
higher levels of rugby.

Club PRO/ Media Liaison Officer of the Year award sponsored by Downtown Radio/ Cool FM –
Terry Jackson.
Last year’s winner of this award some felt that Terry’s job was made easier by Dungannon’s success on the field. This season however Terry has kept the Club to the fore with the media despite having less success on the pitch.

The Guinness Rugby Personality of the Year – Paddy Wallavce. This award is for the player, coach official or administrator, who through their performance during the year has done most to raise the profile of Ulster Rugby.
