Stringer and Galwey on Bench for Shannon
Munster’s Peter Stringer and Mick Galwey will be on the bench for Shannon while Alan Quinlan joins Munster colleague Colm McMahon and cousin David in the back row for the AIB League final.
Shannon stick with the tried and trusted for the final but that still means they can produce an all Munster front row in Marcus Horan, James Blaney and John Hayes while John’s brother Tom, packs down with Brian Buckley in the second row.
Cork Con are expected to name their side later today but reports that Ronan O’Gara might play are hugely wide of the mark. O’Gara had 13 stitches inserted in a knee wound during the match against Castres, returned home on crutches and only had the cast removed from his knee yesterday (Thursday). He will travel with the Con squad but will take no part. Conor Mahony is likely to wear the number 10 jersey.
