In the other games played today Garryowen came from being 13-10 down at half time to beat champions Dungannon 23-13 at Dooradoyle while Cork Con produced their best performance to date when they had a 26-18 win over Ballymena at Eaton Park.
In Division Two Ballynahinch beat Sundays Well 12-11 in Musgrave Park and Belfast Harlequins travelled to Limerick where they defeated Old Crescent 17-15 to take over the leadership of the table.
In Stradbrook Nathan Turner scored two tries as the home side demolished a Young Munster outfit who are firmly rooted to the bottom of the table. Blackrock led 17-8 at half time and then added three second half tries without reply.
In Dooradoyle Garryowen trailed 10-13 at half time, all the scores in the opening half coming from the respective out halves, Billy Treacy and Ian Humphreys. Treacy leveled the game in the 49th minute while Humphrey’s touch deserted him, he was wide with three attempts. Treacy put Garryowen into the lead for the first time with a 32nd minute penalty and Paul Neville crossed for a try to seal the outcome in injury time.
