The event has been designed by the members of the Leinster Women's Rugby Committee (LWRC) and it is being organised by LWRC and Leinster Rugby with all proceeds going towards GOAL 's emergency famine intervention in Ethiopia.
GOAL is currently responding to famine in Southern Ethiopia where persistently failed rains and rising food prices have left millions of Ethiopians vulnerable to malnutrition.
GOAL is operating emergency nutrition centres for severely malnourished children and lactating mothers across the affected region. All money donated from the tag rugby blitz will go towards funding these emergency programmes.
The cost to register a team is only €250 . There is no limit on the number of players on each squad so the more the merrier!
Registration starts at 12noon with the first matches due to kick off at 1pm.
There will be a BBQ running throughout the day to keep the energies up as well as an auction, a raffle and great music at the after tag party in the clubhouse.
