The Ireland Under-19 squad to face Australia Schools at Ravenhill on Saturday week (December 14) has been announced.
Kick-off 2.30pm unless stated -
DLSP (16th) v Greystones (14th), Kirwan Park, Friday Night Lights
Did the weather offer DLSP a lifeline? Their game last weekend fell foul of the conditions and a win on Saturday could lift them off the bottom of the table.
Visitors Greystones are still in the danger zone and will be scrapping for their divisional status also so it won't be an easy task.
Two automatic and one playoff relegation spot means this floodlit game is a key one this weekend.
Cashel (7th) v Terenure (1st), Spafield
Cashel have been steady enough this season and can be pleased enough with their eight wins. The lack of bonus points is something to look at for next season.
Saturday offers them a say in the top of the table though when league leaders Terenure come calling.
'Nure have been in unstoppable form of late and while the trip to Cashel won't be easy they should be equipped to take the win. The question is will it keep the ahead of Corinthians?
City of Derry (4th) v Midleton (15th), Judge's Road
The late season surge from City of Derry continued last Saturday with a 4 point win over relegation battling Greystones.
The home side face a similar challenge this weekend hosting another red zone battler in Midleton.
A win for the visitors is vital if they are to try and get out of danger but it may not be possible against City of Derry who have won four of their last five games.
Galwegians (5th) v Banbridge (6th), Crowley Park
An interesting game this as 5th plays 6th in the table. Both sides were in contention early doors in the season.
Both are now out of contention but still with a position to play for.
'Wegians beat Cashel last time out while the Bann went down heavily to UCC.
Old Wesley (8th) v Highfield (10th), Donnybrook
Wesley have recovered from their early season travails and have notched up a decent 5 try bonuses so there is plenty to work on for them.
Highfield are three points further back having lost to Cashel last time out.
An interesting tussle to be sure with the home side having the edge.
Queens University (11th) v Bective Rangers (12th), Dub Lane
Another mid-table clash, albeit at the lower end of the table.
Queens have been involved in a couple of high scoring games recently - drawing with Cashel and beating Cashel and must be favourites.
Bective should be clear of danger but technically they are only seven points ahead of the playoff spot.
Seapoint (9th) v Old Crescent (13th), Kilbogget Park
A hugely important game for Old Crescent as they are just five points clear of the bottom three and a relegation playoff.
The y have face tough opposition in Terenure and Corinthians in recent weeks so they have to target a win here.
Seapoint are mid table and with only pride at stake but at home they may still have an edge on their visitors.
UCC (3rd) v Corinthians (2nd), Mardyke
The biggest game in the division this weekend as 2nd travels to 3rd.
A win for Corinthians keeps them in the hunt for top spot against Terenure and would probably kill off UCC's hopes.
A home win would see the race for promotion go to the wire as it would put UCC within touching distance of 2nd place.
All to play for then and a cracking game in prospect in the Mardyke.
