A calf muscle strain to flanker
Victor Costello (pictured) means that
Eric Miller has been called into the Ireland squad ahead of Saturday's
RBS Six Nations championship game against Wales. In addiition to the inclusion of Miller, Munster lock
Donncha O'Callaghan has also been called into the squad as precautionary cover for
Gary Longwell. If Costello is ruled out it would mean a likely start for
Alan Quinlan with Miller on the bench. In the backline there is still doubt over
Girvan Dempsey who hasn't played at any level since the game against Scotland over a month ago.
The Ireland side to play Wales will be named later today following a morning training session in Lakelands (Terenure RFC).
