On Saturday
Cork Constitution came from being 15 points down to defeat
Blackrock College 28-25 thanks to a try in injury time from replacement
Andrew Burke. Lansdowne might have had the consolation of a bonus point from the visit of
Garryowen until
Alan Purcell landed an injury time drop-goal to deny them even that.
Buccaneers and
Co Carlow scored two ties apiece at Oak Park but the difference in the end was the two penalties posted by Buccs out-half
David Connellan that gave his side a 20-14 win.
Dungannon dished out a 37-3 hammering to
Galwegians while
Belfast Harlequins came from 20-7 down to pip the
UCD 24-23 at Deramore Park.
Shock of the day came in Eaton Park where the home side slumped to defeat against a St Mary's College side who were recording just their first victory in six outings.
