The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) is the governing body of the sport in Ireland. The recently launched Strategic Plan focuses on the structures, systems, programmes and facilities needed for both the Domestic and Professional game to consistently perform at a higher level. With over 300 technical, professional rugby-playing and support staff across the four Branches of the Union, we now wish to fill two key management positions to support these strategic objectives and the continued growth and development of the game at all levels.

Domestic Game Manager

The role of the Domestic Game Manager will be to plan, organise, develop and ensure the implementation of IRFU policies and Operational Plans to underpin the Strategic Plan and ensure the growth and development of the Domestic Game in Ireland.

Reporting directly to the Director of Rugby, the successful candidate will have;

- An involvement in the playing or coaching of the game at a high standard along with an appreciation and understanding of the structures of Irish Rugby - Experience of operating as part of a senior management team - The ability to manage a significant operational budget and a staff of approximately 100 personnel working throughout Ireland

High Performance Manager

The High Performance Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a high-performance rugby pathway. This will encompass responsibility for the National Age Grade Representation sides and the Provincial Academy structures. He / she will have strong working relationships with the Irish professional rugby structures to maximise the emergence of future Irish professional players.

Reporting directly to the Director of Rugby, the successful candidate will have:

- A proven track record of achievement in the area of Performance Development' for elite athletes - Current experience in the coaching and development of players in the Elite Representative game - An IRFU / IRB or related union coaching accreditation - Excellent management, organisational, communication and teamwork skills will be a prerequisite for both positions.
