Announcing the squad this afternoon following their afternoon training session at Thomond Park, Kidney explained that the reason for the extended squad was to provide cover for some of his walking wounded. Chief concern now centres around lock Paul O'Connell who has a shoulder problem which means the inclusion in the squad of John Langford, only recently returned from his native Australia.
