The level 3 course is for Head Coaches working with advanced adult and representative teams.
The course develops the coach as â00Leaderâ00. At the end of the course the coach should be able to demonstrate a competency in planning, alignment of plans empowerment underpinned by a greater self-awareness of personality and leadership style.
The first part of the Level 3 Coaching Course was held at Malahide RFC from Thursday 31st May â00 Sunday 3rd June. There are 4 Coaches undertaking the two year programme - Colin McEntee & Peter Smyth (both Leinster) and Terry McMaster & Clem Boyd (both Ulster).
The main topics covered were Fitness & Conditioning (Fergal Oâ00Callaghan â00 Munster), Game Planning (Stephen Aboud - IRFU), Personality Profiling (Claire Whittington & Ces Shaw â00 PTP Associates) and Mental Imagery / Relaxation (Dr. P.J. Smyth â00 University of Limerick).
The Coaches are now required to produce several planning & development tasks before returning in July for the second part of the course.
