Leinster winger Denis Hickie has been called into the Ireland squad as precautionary cover for Andrew Trimble, who is suffering from a tight hamstring.
Leinster winger Denis Hickie has been called into the Ireland squad as precautionary cover for Andrew Trimble, who is suffering from a tight hamstring.
Trimble injured his hamstring during Saturday's Guinness Autumn Test match win over South Africa.
Hickie's place on the left wing in the Ireland 'A' team to play Australia 'A' at Thomond Park on Wednesday will be taken by his Leinster team-mate Robert Kearney. Gavin Duffy of NEC Harlequins will take Kearney's original place on the Ireland 'A' bench.
The Irish team and replacements for next weekend's Test against Australia will be announced on Wednesday afternoon (12.45pm).
