The Ireland Under-19 squad to face Australia Schools at Ravenhill on Saturday week (December 14) has been announced.
If Cardiff lose today it would almost certainly see them playing Parker Pen next season. And it's that battle for places in Europe that maintains the interest outside of who relieves Munster of their crown.
As things stand, Scarlets and possibly The Dragons aside, three Welsh sides are battling tooth n nail for two Heineken Cup places with just three points separating Celtic Warriors and The Ospreys. If the Dragons were to lose today they'd have to wait till they play The Borders in Rodney Parade second weekend in May to ensure their place in the Heineken Cup.
In Scotland, Edinburgh are virtually certain to be seeded the top Scottish while the battle for the second Scottish place could go down to the final round of matches.
In Ireland, Connacht, Munster and Leinster have nothing to play for except pride with four points covering the three who hold 6th, 8th and 9th place respectively.
Remaining Games. Ulster v The Borders (away) v Leinster (home) v Lllanelli Scarlets (away)
Llanelli Scarlets v Glasgow Rugby (home) v The Ospreys (away) v Ulster (home).
