Connacht’s Browne Ruled Out For A Month

Connacht’s Browne Ruled Out For A Month

The Connacht squad returned to training early this week ahead of Saturday’s RaboDirect PRO12 match against former leaders Glasgow Warriors at the Sportsground (kick-off 5pm).

The westerners’ panel was bolstered by the return of prop Nathan White and hooker Jason Harris-Wright to training. Both front rowers are available for selection this week.

Andrew Browne suffered a hamstring tear during last Saturday’s narrow derby defeat to Leinster and it has been confirmed that the Galway man will be sidelined for at least four weeks.

Fellow back rower Aaron Conneely sustained an ankle injury during yesterday’s training session and has also been ruled out for three to four weeks.

Meanwhile, the province will be without the services of Ireland international Robbie Henshaw this week as the 20-year-old remains in camp with the national squad in Carton Hous.

Kick-off for Saturday’s duel between Connacht and Glasgow is at 5pm and the only way to get in on the action is to get down to the Sportsground.

Tickets start at €;20 for adults and €;5 for all juniors and are available from tickets.ie, the Connacht Rugby office and Centra and SuperValu stores province-wide.
