Semi-Finals Set Up For Irish Sides
Leinster and Munster will face two familiar rivals when they contest the Heineken Cup semi-finals over the May Bank Holiday weekend. Leinster will travel to Toulouse to take on the side they beat at the quarter-final stage in 2006, while the Biarritz Olympique v Munster tie is a repeat of that same year’s final.
Following the completion of the Heineken Cup quarter-finals with Sunday’s win for Toulouse over Stade Francais, the dates, kick-off times and venues for the semi-finals were confirmed.
2009/10 HEINEKEN CUP SEMI-FINALS:
Saturday, May 1 –
Toulouse v LEINSTER, Le Stadium, Toulouse, kick-off 4.45pm local time (3.45pm Irish time)
Sunday, May 2 –
Biarritz Olympique v MUNSTER, Estadio Anoeta, San Sebastian, kick-off 4.15pm local time (3.15pm Irish time)
Connacht’s reward for edging out Bourgoin in their Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final is a home tie against French side Toulon. Match dates and kick-off times will be announced shortly.
