Ireland Head Coaches James Topping and Allan Temple-Jones will use the opening leg of the Rugby Europe Championship to shuffle their playing resources, presenting a number of players with access to game time and an opportunity to stake their claim for Olympic selection.

Having featured at the SVNS Grand Final in Madrid last weekend, Hugo Keenan, Andrew Smith and Hugo Lennox have travelled to Croatia this week, as Ireland Men face Germany, Croatia and Georgia in Pool A.

There is a welcome return from injury for Kathy Baker in the Women’s squad, while Katie Corrigan, who made her Sevens debut in Madrid, will be hoping to build her experience through more minutes in Markarska.
