The second of the back-to-back HSBC SVNS Series legs in North America took place in Los Angeles over the weekend, with the Ireland Men’s and Women’s Sevens teams (sponsored by TritonLake) in the thick of the action across all three days.

Day 1 Round-Up: Ireland Men Start LA 7s Campaign With Three-Try Victory

Day 1 Round-Up: Captain Rock Injured During Ireland Women’s LA 7s Opener

Day 2 Round-Up: Ireland Men March Into LA 7s Semi-Final After Ending Argentina’s Winning Run

Day 2 Round-Up: Ireland Women Edge Out Britain For LA 7s Cup Quarter-Final Place

Day 3 Round-Up: Kennedy Scores 100th SVNS Series Try As Ireland Men Claim Bronze In LA

Now second in the overall standings, the Ireland Men battled to a fifth place finish in Vancouver last week to carry momentum into this season’s fifth leg. They ended SVNS Series leaders Argentina’s 18-match winning run in LA, and went on to beat Spain in the 3rd place play-off.

The Ireland Women, who are in sixth spot, were eager to put a disappointing ninth place finish in Vancouver behind them. A tournament-ending injury to captain Lucy Rock was a big setback, and while they made LA’s Cup quarter-finals, a closing defeat to Brazil left them in eighth spot.
