Connacht Issue Injury Update Ahead Of France Camp

As a 30-man Connacht squad prepare to depart for a five-day training camp in the south of France, culminating in a game with Castres Olympique on Friday, there are some players that will continue their rehab and recovery at the Sportsground in Galway.

Following the first pre-season game at home to Grenoble last Friday evening, the Connacht medical team reported just one minor injury. Niyi Adeolokun sustained bruising to his left knee against Bernard Jackman’s men and will be unavailable to travel to France on Wednesday. The 24-year-old winger is expected to rejoin training next week.

Meanwhile, Quinn Roux and Aly Muldowney, who both underwent ankle stabilisation surgery earlier in the summer, are progressing well with their return-to-play programmes and are on track to be available for selection ahead of the friendly clash with Munster on Friday, August 21.
