Forward Trio Return To Training With Leinster

Leinster trained in UCD this afternoon ahead of Saturday evening’s GUINNESS PRO12 game against the Scarlets at Parc y Scarlets (kick-off 5.15pm).

There were no new injury issues to report as forwards Ben Marshall, Jack Conan and Shane Jennings all trained as normal.

Both Marshall and Conan have recovered from ankle injuries sustained in the win over Zebre two weeks ago. Marshall suffered his in the warm-up and was replaced on the bench by debutant Ross Molony.

Conan, who recently played for the Ireland Wolfhounds, picked up his injury during the game against the Italians and while he trained well last week and was selected to start against the Ospreys, it flared up in the warm-up in Swansea and he was withdrawn as a precaution.

Marshall came off the bench at the Liberty Stadium and has not shown any ill-effects from his 20 minutes against the Ospreys. Meanwhile, Marshall returned to training today.

Veteran flanker Jennings picked up a shoulder/neck injury against Zebre and while he trained well last week, he was not risked against the Ospreys. All three players are in the mix for selection for this weekend’s trip to Llanelli.
