Bingham Leads Ulster Ravens’ Back-Line

The Ulster Ravens kick off an exciting day of rugby on Saturday by taking on Yorkshire Carnegie at Kingspan Stadium (kick-off 2pm) in their second game of this season’s British & Irish Cup.

Josh Bingham, who came on as a replacement against Aberavon last weekend, starts the round 2 game at out-half with Sean O’Hagan moving to the bench.

He will lead a back-line that includes Ireland international centre Luke Marshall and fellow first team regulars Ricky Andrew and Peter Nelson as well as Hughes Insurance Academy players Jack Owens and Jacob Stockdale.

Up front, ex-Munster and Zebre prop Dave Ryan starts alongside hooker Paul Jackson and Bronson Ross in the front row and Neil McComb, who captains the side, partners James Simpson in the second row.

Sean Reidy, who arrived at Ulster in the summer from New Zealand, starts at blindside flanker, with Ireland Under-20 international Conor Joyce stationed at openside and ex-Lansdowne back rower Charlie Butterworth named at number 8.

The Ravens lost their opening match of the competition to Aberavon (18-14) and will be looking to make amends against the English side.

Former Ulster back David McIlwaine will start at out-half for the visitors who lost their opening fixture 20-3 to Rotherham Titans.
