Fixture Details Confirmed For Back-To-Back European Clashes

The dates and kick-off times for the key back-to-back round 3 and 4 fixtures of the inaugural European Rugby Champions Cup have been confirmed.

The Pool 4 meeting of Montpellier and Bath will get the unique European contests underway on Friday, December 5 as fans will have 20 back-to-back games in the new-look tournament to savour over an intense two-week period.

In round 4, three-time European champions Leinster are moving their Saturday, December 13 fixture against Harlequins to the Aviva Stadium, while Racing Metro 92 will break new ground when they stage their round 4 game against the Ospreys at the 25,000-capacity MMArena in Le Mans.

Reigning European champions Toulon will travel to Welford Road on Sunday, December 7 for their Pool 2 clash with Leicester Tigers with Richard Cockerill’s squad returning to Stade Félix Mayol where they were defeated in the 2013 quarter-final, the following Saturday.

Two of last season’s semi-finalists will go head-to-head in Pool 1 when Munster host Clermont Auvergne at Thomond Park on Saturday, December 6.

On that same Saturday evening Ulster will host their PRO12 rivals, the Scarlets, at Kingspan Stadium in Pool 3. Neil Doak’s side will make the return trip to Llanelli on Sunday, December 14.

All 20 of the back-to-back Champions Cup matches will be broadcast live in Ireland and the UK on BT Sport and Sky Sports.

French fans will also have the opportunity to watch every game for the first time as new partners beIN Sports will show all 10 games per round with France 2 broadcasting one key game each Sunday.

The Champions Cup fixtures were finalised following the confirmation of EPCR’s broadcast platform in France earlier in the week. The European Rugby Challenge Cup fixtures will be announced on Monday (October 13).
