Muliaina Receives Warm Welcome In Galway
Connacht Rugby and Life Style Sports launched the province’s new home jersey in Eyre Square today. New arrival and All Black centurion Mils Muliaina joined his Connacht team-mates Robbie Henshaw, Rodney Ah You, Fionn Carr, David McSharry, Andrew Browne, Michael Kearney and Denis Buckley to showcase the new partnership with Life Style Sports.
The players brought Galway city to a halt at lunchtime by unveiling an impressive 10m x 10m giant replica of the new Connacht home jersey to celebrate the jersey going on sale around the country today and online at www.lifestylesports.com.
The Connacht squad gave amused fans a first glimpse of the huge jersey before inviting Mils Muliaina, as a ‘welcome to Connacht’ gesture, to be the first Connacht player to sign the jersey.
The Life Style Sports’ sponsorship of Connacht Rugby includes exclusive branding of all playing and training kit for the Connacht senior squad over four seasons.
Commenting on the new partnership and his arrival to Connacht Rugby, Muliaina said: “It’s great to finally be here in Connacht. The welcome I’ve received from everyone, including Life Style Sports today in the city, has been amazing.
“I’m really excited about settling into life in Galway, getting to know my team-mates, the supporters and working closely with partners like Life Style Sports.
“The season kicks off in just over a week and I’m keen to get stuck in straight away to the mentoring role Pat (Lam) has set out for me. I’m so hungry to play and will continue rehab work on my elbow so I’m fighting fit for the end of October.”
To celebrate the unveiling of the westerners’ new home Jersey going on sale today nationwide, Connacht players Michael Swift, Robbie Henshaw and Sean Henry will be in the Life Style Sports store in Galway Retail Park to meet fans from 6pm to 7pm.
Fans can meet their rugby heroes and have their new Connacht jerseys signed. Customers who purchase their new Connacht jersey in-store and online will receive a FREE Rhino Connacht Rugby Ball worth €;15 *.
The men’s and women’s jersey will retail at €;65 while the kids jersey is €;50-€;55. Life Style Sports also stocks the full supporters’ range which will be available in stores and online at lifestylesports.com from early September.
