The meeting reviewed match official performances across all relevant tournaments in conjunction with feedback from the referee managers in each Union and from club coaching staff.

English referee Wayne Barnes will be in charge at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille on Sunday, April 27 when reigning champions Toulon on Munster, who will be appearing in a record 11th Heineken Cup semi-final.

The semi-finals weekend will kick off on Friday, April 25 with the Amlin Challenge Cup last-four match at Franklin’s Gardens between Northampton Saints and Harlequins which will be refereed by IRFU international referee George Clancy.

France’s Romain Poite has been appointed to referee the second of the Amlin Challenge Cup semi-finals at Adams Park – a battle between two former tournament winners, London Wasps and Bath.
