Madigan In Line For 100th Leinster Cap

Leinster head coach Matt O’Connor welcomed back some of the Leinster players involved with Ireland last weekend as the province’s trained in UCD today.

League leaders Leinster are preparing for the visit of Zebre to the RDS this Friday in the RaboDirect PRO12 (kick-off 7.15pm).

Ian Madigan, who is in line to win his 100th Leinster cap this week if selected, Fergus McFadden, Eoin Reddan, Martin Moore and Jordi Murphy all resumed training with the province.

Those five players reported no ill-effects from their exertions in Paris, but Six Nations-winning front rowers Jack McGrath (shoulder) and Sean Cronin (neck) sat out the session with minor knocks.

The rest of the Leinster players that started in Paris have the week off and are expected back in next Monday ahead of the visit of Munster to the Aviva Stadium on Saturday week (March 29).

However, all have reported back to the Leinster Rugby rehab team and there are no injury concerns to report.

Kevin McLaughlin has also resumed training after undergoing surgery for a facial injury suffered in the away victory over Cardiff Blues, while Colm O’Shea also trained this week and is recovering well from a shoulder injury.

Tickets to the game against Zebre on Friday are still on sale at www.leinsterrugby.ie, while a limited number of Munster tickets are also still available.
