Stevenson To Skipper Ulster Ravens

Lewis Stevenson will captain the Ulster Ravens team against Jersey in Saturday’s British & Irish Cup round 5 tie at St. Peter’s (kick-off 3pm).

Lock Lewis Stevenson is one of 13 players in the starting line-up to have represented the senior Ulster team.

Kyle McCall, Niall Annett and Ricky Lutton form a powerful front row, with Stevenson partnered by Neil McComb in the second row.

Ireland Under-20 flanker Conor Joyce is selected in the back row along with former RBAI captain Josh Atkinson and Mike McComish, who was man-of-the-match the last time these two teams met.

David McIlwaine, Chris Cochrane and Peter Nelson form the back-three, with Stuart McCloskey and Ricky Andrew in midfield and Michael Heaney and James McKinney selected as the half-backs.

The Ravens have played four matches in the competition, winning two and losing two. The sides met at Ravenhill in October with the Ravens winning 24-19.

The Ravens are back in action on home soil when they take on Cornish Pirates at Deramore Park next Friday night (January 17). Kick off is at 7.30pm.

Ulster Ravens v Cornish Pirates tickets are available at the gate and start at £8 for an adult and £5 for children. Please note Ulster Rugby Season Tickets are not valid for this fixture.
