New Connacht Kit Available From August 23

Connacht Rugby, in partnership with BLK, have launched the province’s new home and away kit for the 2013/14 season.

BLK, Connacht’s new kit supplier, worked closely with the Connacht management and players to incorporate an innovative and revolutionary design into the shirt in order to maximise performance.

The final range sees the predominant colour of the home kit return to the traditional Connacht green with a splash of black on the sleeves, side and back. The green is carried onto the shorts and socks with a black band completing the home kit.

The blue and white colours of the Connacht crest once again provided the inspiration for the away kit. This year, the jersey also features black and is finished with a white trim. Blue shorts with a white knot and white socks complete this new look away kit.

Alex Saul, head of marketing & commercial for Connacht Rugby, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the new look kit from BLK. Connacht is very proud of its heritage and we’re very happy with the way BLK took this on board and were able to produce such a fantastic range.

“It’s a very exciting time at Connacht Rugby with some very promising additions to our squad as well as Heineken Cup rugby returning to the province for a third year.

“We’re looking forward to unveiling the wider range of Connacht gear in the coming weeks and are confident our supporters will continue to wear their teams colours with pride.”

The home and away jerseys will be available in Elverys stores nationwide and other independent retailers from Friday, August 23.

Connacht will be holding a number of in-store promotions before the season kicks off against Zebre on September 7 to promote the new range.
