Leinster Build Towards Ospreys Encounter

The Leinster squad trained at UCD on Bank Holiday Monday as they gear up for their final RaboDirect PRO12 match before the November break away to the Ospreys in Swansea.

With 10 players away on international duty this week, the province look set to call on a number of Academy players who have been in action for the British & Irish Cup side in recent weeks.

David Kearney and Rhys Ruddock both successfully came through their comeback games in the bonus point victory over the Cardiff Blues victory.

Last Saurday’s runaway success saw Damian Browne and Jordi Murphy score their first tries for Leinster, while in-form flanker Shane Jennings is poised to return to the panel after featuring in all of the province’s opening eight games of the season.

Prop Michael Bent and New Zealand out-half Andrew Goodman have arrived in Ireland following their ITM Cup commitments and they could be added to the squad for Sunday’s game at the Liberty Stadium (kick-off 4pm).

Eoin O’Malley, Dominic Ryan and Quinn Roux have stepped up their rehabilitation regimes in recent weeks and they are on course for a return to action in early to mid-November.

Meanwhile, Ireland duo Luke Fitzgerald and Sean O’Brien are making progress in their respective rehabilitation programmes and are targeting a return to play toward the end of November or in early December.
