Leinster Set For Move To New UCD Base

Leinster Rugby have announced details of the opening phase of the province’s exciting move to their new purpose-built facility at the University College Dublin.

The administrative arm of Leinster Rugby, incorporating the accounts, domestic game, community, marketing, referees, schools, ticketing, and media & communications departments, will formally move to UCD on Wednesday, March 21.

Therefore, the Leinster Rugby office in Main Street, Donnybrook will be closed on that day and they will commence operations from UCD on Thursday, March 22.

To minimise disruption ahead of the closing months of the season, the Leinster playing squad, team management and Academy will move from their current base in David Lloyd Riverview this summer.

Following the formal announcement last summer, under this partnership, Leinster Rugby will establish a new high performance training unit on UCD’s Belfield campus adjacent to UCD’s state-of-the-art Institute of Sport and Health (ISH).

In addition, Leinster will avail of UCD’s extensive suite of top class synthetic and grass pitches.

The players will have access to advance and develop their academic careers as well as benefiting from UCD’s expanding suite of physiological and biochemical testing platforms and sports medicine facilities.

Research collaborations will be developed in areas such as high performance science, sensor technology, bioengineering and sports physiology.
