Dates And Kick-Off Times Revealed For RaboDirect PRO12 Games

Leinster and Ulster will be the first Irish provinces to play in this season’s RaboDirect PRO12 competition, with the opening round of matches kicking off on Friday, September 2.

The organisers of the RaboDirect PRO12 have announced the fixtures, dates, kick-off times and host broadcasters for the opening twelve rounds of the 2011/12 competition.

The BBC cameras will be at the Liberty Stadium and Ravenhill respectively on Friday, September 2, for Leinster’s opening clash with the Ospreys and Ulster’s first-up encounter with Glasgow Warriors.

The following day Connacht will be at the Stadio Comunale di Monigo to face Benetton Treviso, while that night Munster will begin their title defence at home to the Newport Gwent Dragons. The TG4 cameras will be in Cork for that game.

The first interprovincial derby of the season will see Connacht take on Leinster at the RDS on the evening of Saturday, October 8 (live TG4).

November also starts with a bang as Leinster and Munster collide at the Aviva Stadium on Friday, November 4 (live TG4). Less than 24 hours later, Ulster and Connacht will clash at Ravenhill (live BBC Northern Ireland).

The regular festive derbies will begin with the meeting of Leinster and Ulster at the RDS on Monday, December 26 (live RTÉ) and conclude with Leinster’s trip to Galway to face Connacht on New Year’s Day (live TG4).
