‘No Fresh Injury Concerns’ For Leinster

The Leinster squad trained at UCD on Monday with the management reporting no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s Heineken Cup semi-final against Toulouse.

Sean O’Brien and Cian Healy, the try scorers in the 20-8 victory over Aironi on Saturday, were amongst 14 Irish-qualified players who started the match alongside Scotland international Nathan Hines.

Gordon D’Arcy, who made his 75th Heineken Cup appearance in the quarter-final win over Leicester Tigers, and Jamie Heaslip are both expected to be available for selection.

Isa Nacewa should also be back in contention after he was left out of the squad for the first time this season for the trip to Viadana.

Jonathan Sexton’s 12 point haul in the 17-10 triumph over Leicester Tigers kept him at the top of the points scoring charts in this season’s Heineken Cup. He has now scored 88 points in all.

Back rower O’Brien lies in joint third place in the Heineken Cup’s top try scorers list this season with four tries.

Meanwhile, Brian O’Driscoll (29 tries) is joint-second top try scorer in the tournament’s history, three tries behind Toulouse winger Vincent Clerc.

Head coach Joe Schmidt is set to reveal the team and replacements to face Toulouse on Friday afternoon.
