Mixed Injury News For Munster

Donnacha Ryan shook off the injury he sustained in Munster’s Magners League victory over the Newport Gwent Dragons to take a full part in training with the Ireland squad on Tuesday morning.

Donnacha Ryan left Musgrave Park on Saturday with his arm in a sling to protect his left shoulder, but it transpired that he had suffered an impingement that cleared up over the following 24 hours.

The news for his Munster team-mate Denis Hurley is not so good. The winger/full-back will be out of action for between four and six weeks after suffering medial ligament damage to his right knee in the recent win over Aironi.

Meanwhile, the province have also issued updates regarding other players on their injury list. Jerry Flannery, Barry Murphy and Ian Dowling are continuing to rehab their injuries without any news of a possible return to action.

But Felix Jones and Peter O’Mahony are both expected to feature in the Munster ‘A’ team’s match against Ulster Ravens in Belfast next Wednesday.
