Munster Include Stringer And Leamy

Peter Stringer and Denis Leamy have been included in the Munster squad for Friday’s Magners League game against the Newport Gwent Dragons at Musgrave Park (kick-off 7.30pm).

Other than the inclusion of Peter Stringer and Denis Leamy, who were used as second half replacements against Scotland, the only addition to the Munster squad is Danny Barnes who comes in for the injured Denis Hurley.

Barnes was a lively presence in the Dolphin back-line in their 16-16 draw with Old Belvedere in the Ulster Bank League last weekend.

Hurley injured his right knee against Aironi and will undergo a scan this evening to find out the full extent of the injury. It is expected that the Meath man will be out of action for a number of weeks.

The province’s squad trained this morning in Cork IT and will have their second weekly session tomorrow in the University of Limerick.
