Tickets for Saturday’s Magners League encounter between Connacht and Leinster have been selling faster than expected, with only 1,200 tickets remaining as of Wednesday morning.

Fans are advised to get their tickets for the Connacht v Leinster clash as early as possible, as Saturday’s game looks set to sell out in the coming days.

Parents who plan on bringing children to the game are advised that although Under-12s will gain free admittance, all accompanying adults will require tickets and as this is a ticket-only event.

With demand likely to exceed supply, parents are urged to purchase tickets in advance to avoid disappointment on the day.

Meanwhile, Iarnród Eireann has announced that special train arrangements will be in place to cater for rugby supporters who wish to travel from Athlone, Ballinasloe, and Athenry to Galway for Saturday’s game.

Passengers will be able to avail of regular trains departing Athlone at 1.04pm and 4.04pm which will arrive at Ceannt Station in time for the game.

A return train will depart Galway at 8.25pm, returning to Athlone and serving Athenry, Attymon, Woodlawn and Ballinasloe.

The return fare, which should be purchased on the day from Station Ticket Offices, is an attractive €;10.
