Leinster Wait On Sexton Injury

The Leinster squad training at UCD on Monday afternoon ahead of their Magners League derby clash with Munster at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 7.30pm).

A decision on the availability of out-half Jonathan Sexton (quad muscle) will be made at the team announcement on Thursday afternoon, but lock Ed O’Donoghue (knee) has been ruled out for this weekend’s game.

Other than that, Leinster have reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s derby against Munster, and Scotland international Nathan Hines is also expected to return to the province’s panel this weekend.

Full-back Rob Kearney made his 100th appearance for Leinster against Edinburgh last Friday and is now one of seven players in the current squad to have passed the century milestone.

Saturday’s encounter at the Aviva Stadium will break the Magners League attendance record of 48,000 which was previously set at Lansdowne Road for ‘The Last Stand’ match between Leinster and Ulster on December 31, 2006.

Just over 1,000 tickets are on sale for the Leinster v Munster tie and are still available to purchase from here, Spar (Donnybrook) and the Leinster Rugby Store (Donnybrook).

Supporters are asked to arrive early and use Public Transport on Saturday. There are full details of the coloured entrance and exit routes into the Aviva Stadium here.
